Peru Tres Estrellas Microlot
The three farms that make up Tres Estrellas are high in the mountains about 2 hours hard driving from Jaen
The farms all operate as part of the Volcafe Way ,community programme that provides farmers with practical
and progressive agricultural support .
The remoteness of the area means that cherry is processed on the farms into dried parchment then delivered
to the mill for final processing and bagging .Normally these coffees would go into a generic blend ,isolating
them has shown the amazing quality and flavours that Peru can produce
The coffee varities which are used are Catimor ,Caturra ,Pache,Bourbon typica and San antonio
The regions the coffee is grown in is called La Coipa,La Capilla and Colasay and the name of the
community menbers who produce this coffee are Consuelo Peralta ,Francisco Perez and Heleodoro Nunez
With the amazing taste profile of papaya ,bitter fruit and dark chocolate ,excellent for milk based and short black
coffees a must try .
